Tie Breakers

Games can end in a tie in EVERY GAME except ELIMINATION GAMES! In Elimination games, IF a game is tied after the time limit has expired or all regulation innings have been played, whichever comes first, the International tie-breaker will be utilized by placing the bases loaded with no outs. Tie Breakers for seeding purposes are as follows: 1. Head-to-Head (ONLY when 2-TEAMS are TIED, IF multiple teams are tied, head to head CANNOT be used, please see below), 2. Least Runs Allowed, 3. Run Differential (7-Run Max), 4. Most Runs Scored (10-Runs Max) and 5. Coin Toss. In the event of a 3 or more way tie, use the following example (EX:  FIVE teams tied at 1-1 after pool play, the team among these five that allowed the MOST runs will be the #5 seed among the 5-tied teams.  Now we are down to four teams, the team that allowed the MOST runs will be the #4 seed among the 4-tied teams.  Now we are down to three teams.  The team that allowed the MOST runs will be the #3 seed among the 3-tied teams.  Now we are down to two teams.  IF the top two teams played, we will now revert back and use HEAD TO HEAD.  IF the two tied teams did NOT play, head to head still can't be used and thus the team that allowed the most runs among these final two teams will be the #2 seed and the team left is the the #1 seed.) This will allow us to use Head-to-Head as a tie-breaker once we get down to 2-teams. Note, Head-to-Head will ONLY be used once we are down to the FINAL two teams in the event of a 3-or more way tie.

Protest

  •  Protest fees are $300 - No exceptions.

  • For protest of players not on the roster or illegal age or any other player eligibility question, the protest must be initiated from the 1st pitch of the game to before the 1st pitch of the 2nd at bat of the player who is being protested.  Once a player has had 1 pitch thrown to them of their second at bat, they are no longer eligible to be protested.

  • Any other protest that isn't a player eligible protest, must be done between the first pitch of the game and end of the game(unless the last out of the game causes a protestable situation,in this case the coach who wants to protest must call it to the umpires attention before they leave the field). You get the $300 back for a successful protest.

General Rules/Details

  • We will provide softballs for each game. However, teams need to be prepared to throw in game balls if the umpire runs out until we get more. Also, teams are responsible for retrieving foul balls & returning them to the field.

  • Pay attention to your post game score cards before signing. When you sign you are approving the score and all pitching records.

  • Catchers must wear a helmet that covers the ears.

  • Run rules are 12 after 3 .... 10 after 4 ....8 after 5
