Grand Slam Sports Tournaments

Flowood, MS

Flowood Liberty Park

Central MS - 3rd Annual 1st Responders Tribute - Presented by The Tournament Team

Sep 7-8, 2019

Coaches, please see the following for weekend information. If you have any questions you can call or text 601-917-3116.

Absolutely NO Sunflower seeds, candy, or gum is allowed in the dugouts or one the fields. Coaches, please police this in your dugouts. (and around your buckets you sit on outside the fence, which is where the biggest issue has been so far). This has become an issue already and Flowood is contemplating charging us for this if it continues, which we will have to pass on to the teams. So please make sure this isn't an issue this weekend.

Entry fee is $310 for 12U and $350 for 13U & 14U - Make checks out to "The Tournament Team"

New policy this year - Entry fee must be paid before the start of your 2nd Pool Game - This game will not start until entry fee is paid. We have field directors on site, 1 for every 4 fields, so you won't have any trouble finding one.

Gate fee is $7 daily for ages 7 & Up

This weekend's field directors will be Big Dewey, Allen Gibson, & Marty McMullen.

Teams provide baseballs on Saturday for pool play. We will provide baseballs on Sunday for bracket play. 2 game conditioned high school quality balls are required. We will have baseballs on site for you to buy if you do not have any game balls.

Run Rules are 12-10-8 after 3-4-5.

-5 or -3 only for 13U. 14U can use -5.

Time limits - 12U-13U 1:30.....14U 1:40

Any bracket game that is tied at the end of regulation will do as follows...

  • Last batter (doesn't necessarily mean last out or last batted out) of previous inning on second base. In extra innings, if this player is your catcher or pitcher, he still must run.
  • Any extra inning after the 1st one will go to last 3 batters of previous inning loading the based. Last batter of previous inning on 1st & so on and so forth. If these players end up being your catcher or pitcher they still must run.

Grand Slam is high school federation rules, therefore, Fake to 3rd to first pick off is allowed.

Please check the score of your game and your pitchers inning total before signing the score card, if you sign it, you are approving it.

Our umpires will be instructed to only allow 1 minute in between innings. So help get your guys on and off the field and have a coach catch up for the catcher if needed.

All coaches and fans are expected to conduct themselves in a mature manner. We will not allow constant bantering of an umpire from outside the fence. Coaches will be allowed 1 chance to control fans outside the fence. Any fan who can't control this will be escorted out of the park by Flowood Police department and will also cause their team's head coach to be ejected from the game.

For any other questions please reach out to us.
