NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS at any Park! Teams could be faced with a forfeit and/or $500 fine.

Welcome to Grand Slam MS 2021 State Tournament

Please make sure your team parents see this information. 

Award presentations for 1st & 2nd place teams at the Quarry will be held under the Breezeway of the middle concession area. After your championship game...load up, pack up, & head to the Award Central to receive your custom rings & take pictures in front of our custom Grand Slam backstop! 

All other locations will have their award ceremony on the field immediately after the game.

  • Event Rosters will be enforced. It's up to you to double check them & if you are having any issues you need to let us know. All players need to show on the event roster. Please do all you can to move players from pending to approved. ROSTERS WILL BE FROZEN AT Midnight Thursday
  • We have multiple field directors on site. If you have an issue, call for a field director immediately. We can't help you once a game has ended. Please see the phone #'s above for this information. 
  • Head coaches, you are responsible for the actions of your spectators. If they are ejected, you are ejected. ZERO tolerance. Please see statement below. 
  • Be prepared to play 15 minutes after previous game ends. 
  • Grand Slam will provide 2 new baseballs for each game. Each team is required to help provide baseballs after the two provided by Grand Slam. 
  • Gate fees are $7/daily for ages 12 & up. There will be no 3 day passes due to Saturday bracket games in most divisions. 
  • 13U can only use -5 or -3 bats. 
  • 14U can only use BBCOR bats. 
  • 9U-12U pitching is 8 innings for the weekend. No Daily Limit ....13U and 14U.... is 10 innings for the weekend. No daily limits. 
  • 9UR time limit is 1:20 
  • Coach Pitch time limit is 1:00
  • 9UA-12U Open is 1:30
  • 13U and 14U is 1:40
  • DO NOT let an umpire tell you they are stopping a game within 5 minutes of the time limit. Stop the plate meeting or when you are told this immediately and call for a director. 
  • You can only get credit for a max of 10 runs scored in a game and a max run differential of 7 runs. You score 15, standings will show 10. 
  • When more than 2 teams are tied 1-1, head to head will only be counted for the top two teams in that group in runs allowed. See Grand Slam rules for clarification. 
  • Pay attention to your post game score cards before signing. Make sure pitching and score is correct. 
  • Catchers must wear a one piece helmet. 
  • Protest fees are $300 cash up front no exceptions. You get this back for a successful protest. Protest must be done between the 1st pitch & last pitch and it is encouraged to do as early as possible if you think you will be protesting. Protest must be done during the game. 
  • Run rules are 12 after 3 - 10 after 4 - 8 after 5
  • Extra innings - Last batter from the previous inning on 2nd base with 0 outs. 
  • 2nd Extra inning - Last 3 batters from previous inning to load the bases with 1 out. 
  • 3rd to 1st pick off is legal. 
  • Head first slides are legal to any base unless a face mask, jaw protector, or chin strap is being worn. This is only applicable to 12U and under. See Grand Slam rules for clarification. 
  • Grand Slam plays be National Federation High School rules...with the exception of rules listed here or corporate Grand Slam. State Directors have the discretion to modify corporate rules. 
  • Teams get 3 passes for coaches. Coach pitch teams get 4. Please discuss with your staff what names were submitted so there is no confusion at the gate. There will be a team list at each gate...once that team's spots are full that will be all. Coaches will receive arm bands and they must be worn for the weekend. 
  • Be respectful to the gate girls. 


We can't stress this enough this weekend. There will be ZERO tolerance.  Any pattern of badgering of an umpire, other fans, coaches, players, directors, gate workers, etc...will result in being escorted from the park by Flowod, Brandon or Ridgeland PD. Coaches, if you put your hands on an umpire, you will be prosecuted & vice versa for umpires to coaches. Tournament Directors have the discretion to have anyone removed from the park. If you are a spectator and removed from the park, you will NOT be allowed to return for the rest of the tournament. Gate fees are nonrefundable.
