Please make sure your team parents see this information. 

We were notified by our umpire assigner that there was a shortage of umpires this weekend. Over 40 fields are being used in the metro area for different events. Some fields may only have 1 umpire. It's not the best scenario but it's not the worst either. Please be understanding about this. It's out of our control. Everyone is dealing with it this weekend. 

Award presentations for 1st & 2nd place teams at the Quarry will be held under the Breezeway of the middle concession area. After your championship game...load up, pack up, & head to the Award Central to receive your custom rings & take pictures in front of our custom Grand Slam backstop! 

All other locations will have their award ceremony on the field immediately after the game. 

Coaches, it is your responsibility to know the status of each player on your team in regards to temperature and symptoms.

• Event Rosters will be enforced. It's up to you to double check them & if you are having any issues you need to let us know. All players need to show on the event roster. Please do all you can to move players from pending to approved. 
• Be prepared to play 15 minutes after previous game ends. 
• Each team is required to provide 2 game conditioned High School quality balls for pool play. We will provide for Bracket play. We do have balls on site...$5/ball or $50/dozen
• Gate fees are $7/daily for ages 12 & up. No two day passes.
• 13U can only use -5 or -3 bats. 
• 14U can only use - 3 bats. 
• 9U-12U pitching is 8 innings for the weekend. No Daily Limit     13 & 14 is 10 innings for the weekend. No daily limits. 
• 8U Kid Pitch and 9UR time limit is 1:20 & there is a 6 run per inning limit for pool Play. Bracket play will also be an 1:20 but no 6 run per inning will be in play.

During pool play...if you are the home team and time expires and you are down by more than 6 runs or if you are the visitors and batting...you still get your time to bat because even though you can't mathematically win, any runs you score could affect pool play. If you have an issue with this on the field call for a director immediately. Do NOT leave the field. 
• Coach Pitch time limit is 1:00
• 9UA-12U Open is 1:30
• 13U & 14U is 1:30 Saturday. 1:40 For Bracket (Including Saturday Bracket)
• DO NOT let an umpire tell you they are stopping a game within 5 minutes of the time limit. Stop the plate meeting or when you are told this immediately and call for a director. 
• Pay attention to your post game score cards before signing. Make sure the score is correct & the pitching is correct. 
• Catchers must wear a one piece helmet. 
• Protest fees are $300 cash up front no exceptions. You get this back for a successful protest. Protest must be done between the 1st pitch & last pitch and it is encouraged to do as early as possible if you think you will be protesting. Protest must be done during the game. 
• Run rules are 12 after 3 - 10 after 4 - 8 after 5
• Extra innings - Last batter from the previous inning on 2nd base with 0 outs. 
• 2nd Extra inning - Last 3 batters from previous inning to load the bases with 1 out. 
• 3rd to 1st pick off is legal. 
• Head first slides are legal to any base unless a face mask is being worn. 
• Grand Slam plays be National Federation High School rules...with the exception of rules listed here or corporate Grand Slam. State Directors have the discretion to modify corporate rules. 
• Teams get 3 passes for coaches. Coach pitch teams get 4. Please discuss with your staff what names were submitted so there is no confusion at the gate. There will be a team list at each gate...once that team's spots are full that will be all. Coaches will receive arm bands and they must be worn for the weekend. 
• Make checks out to "The Tournament Team" and pay your field director no later than start of 2nd pool play game. 2nd Pool Play game will NOT start until entry fee is paid. 
• There is a director for every 4 fields. If you have an issue stop the game and call for a director. We can't help you after the game is over. 
• Be respectful to the gate girls. 

Any pattern of badgering of an umpire, other fans, coaches, players, directors, gate workers, etc...will result in being escorted from the park by Brandon or Ridgeland PD. Coaches, if you put your hands on an umpire, you will be prosecuted & vice versa for umpires to coaches. Tournament Directors have the discretion to have anyone removed from the park. Gate fees are nonrefundable. 

Coaches...I am sure you know by now that next weekend's event is shaping up to be a big event with big divisions. That's the way it should be. It's the home stretch for the points chase & big divisions means more points! 

Locations

We wanted to be up front with everyone about locations. When you signed up, Shiloh Park was listed as a location so this isn't new. We only have the Quarry & Freedom Ridge with Shiloh Park. 13U & 14U take up Freedom Ridge...which only leaves the 6 fields at Quarry & Shiloh for ages 7-12. Therefore, it's not avoidable that teams will have to play there. We do NOT know at this time what divisions will be there. We always try our best to mix it up but we also have to make sure teams are on the appropriate size fields. We will also try to mix up Saturday/Sunday if possible. At the end of the day, we are trying to give everyone the opportunity to play. 

14U

We are hoping to gain access to a local HS field after this weekend's playoff games. IF this is the case, we will open up the 14U division to add more teams. So if you are on the wait list...hang in there. 

Schedule Request

The schedule request tab is open. Please log into your account, go to the event home, and click schedule request. If you are using your phone it's the bottom right icon on your screen after you are on the event home. Any schedule request sent via email, text, or phone call has a high chance of being overlooked. Please take a minute and fill this out for yourselves. 

Friday Night Games

We need local teams to play Friday night. If you think you can play 1 or 2 games Friday night, please put that in the schedule request. Again, if you text, email, or call us with this it could be missed. Also, when you say that you can play Friday or you can play two on Friday night, doesn't always assure you of that. We just need an idea on who can & who can't. 

8U Kid Pitch

8U teams who signed up in 9UR now have their own 8U Kid pitch division. Regular Grand Slam rules in place. Just like with 9UR, 1:20 time limit with 6 run limit per inning in pool play. 46 foot mound and 65 foot bases. 

Rosters

Reminder, rosters are frozen. No player can be on two teams in the same age group. If a player is found on two rosters, he will be removed from 1 via coach or parent. All teams have 3 roster moves they can make dating back to May 4.
