THANK YOU FOR ENDURING A LONG WET WEEKEND!

We almost got all the games in before the fields finally became unplayable. Sometimes you have to make the tough calls and it's a fine line between wanting to keep playing and looking out for the kids safety. At the end of the day, we played a ton more baseball this weekend than most of you ever thought we would! A huge thank you to the TCRD Staff for putting in 28-hours in two days to ensure we played baseball. A huge thank you to the 55-teams that hung in there all weekend long and dealt with the delays. I have been involved with travel baseball for over 20-years and I have seen many times when tournament directors would have called off the entire event when we got rain on Saturday. They would have been happy to make the money and save on umpires and field rentals the next day. Grand Slam has always had the mentality of doing whatever we can to try and play the games and at the same time being mindful of the expenses necessary to run a top quality event. I had an amazing staff in LaGrange this weekend running the event and by all accounts I got, the tournament went as smooth as could be expected with the weather issues! Thanks for your support of Grand Slam Sports Tournaments and we look forward to seeing you at the ballpark again real soon!
