- After careful consideration, research and conversations with numerous people in the travel baseball industry, Grand Slam will no longer allow the Black Emerald Bat to used in a Grand Slam sanctioned event effective immediately. Player safety is paramount and from a liability standpoint as well as further information that we have gained regarding this bat, Grand Slam feels it is the best interest to no longer allow this bat to be used in competitive play in a Grand Slam sanctioned event.
