Central MS - PAP Classic (Pay @ the Plate) (Free Entry & Saturday Only) - Presented by TTT

Arm bands sold in Clinton will NOT be accepted at Freedom Ridge, Flowood or Jackson Prep. This is a separate event. 

1. There is still a shortage of umpires in travel baseball at the moment...especially in the metro area. 
2. This is a situation that is out of our control for the moment, but one that we hope to remedy starting in the fall. 
3. So a heads up, you could have a field with 1 umpire on it Saturday. We apologize for this if so. 
4. This is a pay at the plate event. 
5. Umpires are to be paid in cash at the plate meeting. No exceptions. 
6. Fields with 1 umpire, each team will pay $30 each to that umpire. 
7. Fields with 2 umpires, each team will pay one umpire $40. 
8. All game times are 1:20. 
9. One day gate fees are $10 per person ages 12 & up.

• Event Rosters will be enforced. It's up to you to double check them & if you are having any issues you need to let us know. All players need to show on the event roster. Please do all you can to move players from pending to approved. 
• Be prepared to play 15 minutes after previous game ends. 
• Each team is required to provide 2 game conditioned High School quality balls for pool play. We will provide for Bracket play. 
• Gate fees are $10 for one day events. Your arm band in Clinton will NOT be accepted at Freedom Ridge, Jackson Prep, or Flowood. This is a separate event. 
• 9U-12U pitching is 6 innings max for a one day event. 

•  9UR time limit is 1:20 & there is a 6 run per inning limit for pool Play. Bracket play will also be an 1:20 but no 6 run per inning will be in play for bracket. During pool play...if you are the home team and time expires and you are down by more than 6 runs or if you are the visitors and batting...you still get your time to bat because even though you can't mathematically win, any runs you score could affect pool play. If you have an issue with this on the field call for a director immediately. Do NOT leave the field. 
• 9UA-12U Open is 1:20
• DO NOT let an umpire tell you they are stopping a game within 5 minutes of the time limit. Stop the plate meeting or when you are told this immediately and call for a director. 
• Pay attention to your post game score cards before signing. Make sure the score is correct & the pitching is correct. 
• Catchers must wear a one piece helmet. 
• Protest fees are $300 cash up front no exceptions. You get this back for a successful protest. Protest must be done between the 1st pitch & last pitch and it is encouraged to do as early as possible if you think you will be protesting. Protest must be done during the game. 
• Run rules are 12 after 3 - 10 after 4 - 8 after 5
• Extra innings - Last batter from the previous inning on 2nd base with 0 outs. 
• 2nd Extra inning - Last 3 batters from previous inning to load the bases with 1 out. 
• 3rd to 1st pick off is legal. 
• Head first slides are legal to any base unless a face mask is being worn. 
• Grand Slam plays be National Federation High School rules...with the exception of rules listed here or corporate Grand Slam. State Directors have the discretion to modify corporate rules. 
• Teams get 3 passes for coaches. Coach pitch teams get 4. Please discuss with your staff what names were submitted so there is no confusion at the gate. There will be a team list at each gate...once that team's spots are full that will be all. Coaches will receive arm bands and they must be worn for the weekend. 
• There is a director for every 4 fields. If you have an issue stop the game and call for a director. We can't help you after the game is over. 
• Be respectful to the gate girls. 

Any pattern of badgering of an umpire, other fans, coaches, players, directors, gate workers, etc...will result in being escorted from the park by Clinton PD. Coaches, if you put your hands on an umpire, you will be prosecuted & vice versa for umpires to coaches. Tournament Directors have the discretion to have anyone removed from the park. Gate fees are nonrefundable.
